How to use it
- Add each player once. Names are kept on this device and the roster locks when the clock starts.
- Start the clock at kickoff or tip-off. Tap a player’s button when they go on or come off the field.
- Pause during a stoppage, then resume to continue the same game. Stop the clock at the end to close any open player intervals.
- Save the game log on this device or download a CSV file with each player’s total time and interval count.
How it works
- The clock counts elapsed game time. Pausing freezes the clock, and no minutes are added during the pause.
- Each player’s minutes are the total of their completed on-field intervals plus any interval currently in progress. Stopping closes every active interval at the final clock time.
- Player names and the game log stay in this browser. Saving writes one game log to this device; deleting removes that saved log.
Minutes actually played
- M
- total minutes on the field
- a, b
- length of each on-field interval in this example
Worked example
The example player is on for six minutes, rests, then returns for three minutes. Their total is nine minutes. Add every on-field interval for a longer game log.
Worked example
Record the on-field intervals
0:00–6:00 on · 6:00–9:00 rest · 9:00–12:00 on
A player is on from 0:00 to 6:00, rests from 6:00 to 9:00, then returns from 9:00 to 12:00.
Add the time played
6 minutes + 3 minutes = 9 minutes
Their on-field intervals total 6 minutes + 3 minutes = 9 minutes.
Frequently asked questions
Do players start on the field automatically?
No. Start the clock, then tap On beside each player who enters the game. This records the first interval from the time you tap.
What happens when I pause the clock?
The displayed game time freezes. Players who are on remain marked On, and their interval continues when you resume. No time is added while paused.
What happens when I stop the clock?
The final game time is saved and all open player intervals end at that time. You can review totals or download the CSV.
Can I change the roster after the clock starts?
The roster locks when you start so the minutes already recorded stay attached to the right players. Reset the game to edit the roster.
What does the CSV contain?
It includes each player’s name, number of on-field intervals, total minutes and whether they were on the field when the file was downloaded.
