How to use it
- Choose the total session length or start from the worked 60-minute example.
- Add each block in order, with its length and any short reminder notes.
- Compare the planned total with the session length, then print the plan.
How it works
- The first block starts at 0:00. Each following block starts when the previous block ends.
- The plan adds every block length and shows how many minutes the result is over or under the session length.
- This is a timing worksheet, not a recommendation for which drills or activities to run.
Planned session minutes

- a, b, c, d
- length of each block in the four-block example
Worked example
10 minutes warming up, 20 minutes of drills, 25 minutes of games and five minutes cooling down totals 60 minutes. Add every block when your plan has a different number of activities.
Worked example
For a 60-minute session, enter warm up 10 minutes, drill 20, game 25 and cool down 5.
The blocks total 60 minutes. The game starts at 0:30, after the warm up and drill.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make the plan fit the session?
Change a block length until the planned total matches the session length. The timing difference updates with the plan.
Can I add my own practice blocks?
Yes. Name each block, set its minutes and add a short reminder if useful.
What does a negative time difference mean?
The plan is shorter than the session. A positive difference means the blocks run over the session length.
Does this tool recommend drills?
No. It orders and times the activities you enter. Choose activities that fit your players and follow your association’s guidance.
