How to use it
- Add one team at a time, then edit or remove names in the numbered list. Team names must be distinct.
- Choose a single round robin for one meeting between each pair, or double for home and away fixtures.
- To date the rounds, choose the first round date. The gap defaults to 7 calendar days and applies between rounds.
- Select Make schedule. Review each round and each team’s game count before saving, sharing or exporting.
How it works
- The circle method pairs teams across a rotating list. If there is an odd number of teams, a Bye slot is added so one team rests in each round. The Bye is shown but is not counted as a game.
- Each pair meets once in a single round robin. A double round robin repeats the same rounds with home and away reversed. With n teams, one cycle has n(n−1)/2 games and each team plays n−1 games.
- Dates are calendar dates. The first round uses the start date; each following round advances by the selected gap. Calendar downloads contain one all-day event per round, with the round fixtures in its description.
- Team names and schedules stay in this browser or in a share link you choose to create. Anyone with that link can read its team names and schedule settings.

Worked example
Six teams need 15 games in a single round robin. A double round robin repeats every pairing, giving 30 games.
Worked example
Plan one meeting per pair
6 teams × 5 opponents ÷ 2 = 15 games
With teams 1 to 6 in a single round robin, there are five rounds and 15 games. Each team plays five games.
Read the opening rounds
6 teams − 1 = 5 rounds
Round 1: 1 v 6, 2 v 5, 3 v 4. Round 2: 1 v 5, 6 v 4, 2 v 3.
Frequently asked questions
How many games are in a round robin?
For n teams, one cycle has n(n−1)/2 games. Each team plays every other team once. A double round robin has twice that many games.
What happens with an odd number of teams?
The schedule adds a Bye slot. One team has a bye in each round, and the bye does not count as a game.
What is a double round robin?
Every pair of teams plays twice. The second cycle reverses home and away from the first cycle.
Can I add dates and put them in my calendar?
Yes. Set a start date and days between rounds, then download the calendar file. Each round is an all-day event on its scheduled date.
